Advisory Board
Each college chapter of the Fraternity has an advisory board that is responsible for the supervision of the chapter and its well-being. Chapter advisors are trained by Fraternity officers and staff, prioritizing the education of current Fraternity policies and procedures.
Theta Does Not Tolerate Hazing
Kappa Alpha Theta does not tolerate any acts that may be considered hazing. Hazing can be defined as subjecting a person to an activity which endangers or is likely to endanger the emotional and/or physical health or safety of a member or new member or which may reasonable be assumed to humiliate, embarrass or cause personal discomfort regardless of one’s willingness to participate. Hazing may result in chapter and member discipline, including termination of membership.
Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion
Kappa Alpha Theta welcomes, in accordance with the laws of the Fraternity, all college women, without regard to race, religion, national origin, age, disability, or other characteristics protected by applicable law. Those who identify as women are eligible for membership. Kappa Alpha Theta is committed to fighting racism, discrimination, and inequity – both within our sisterhood and within our world.
Alcohol and Drugs
Kappa Alpha Theta expects all members to abide by local, state/province and federal laws regarding alcohol, drugs, and other substances. Using college chapter funds to purchase alcohol and/or drugs is strictly prohibited. No alcohol and/or illegal substances may be stored, served, or consumed on Kappa Alpha Theta property.
